RÜBOX® Reinforcement Continuity Strip

Reinforcement Continuity Strip

RÜBOX is a reinforcement continuity system developed to ensure structural integrity across construction joints in reinforced concrete.

The RÜBOX casing contains pre-engineered reinforcement that is pre-bent and pre-assembled in the factory, ensuring consistent quality and ease of installation.

During installation, the RÜBOX unit is positioned within the formwork at the face of the structural element (commonly a wall) Prior to pouring concrete.

Once cast, the RÜBOX casing remains permanently embedded in the concrete. It forms an effective key for the next concrete pour and supports efficient load transfer. The galvanised casing, with its indented surface, improves bonding and removes the need

forconventional scabbling at the joint.

After the formwork is removed, the casing cover is exposed and taken off, revealing the internal starter bars. These bars are then bent out to 90 degrees and tied into the adjacent reinforcement, ready for the next stage of concreting.

Technical Approval

RÜBOX has CARES technical approval TA2 5095 which validates that the manufacturer of the has quality management system in

accordance with ISO9001:2015, whilst also ensuring the incorporated reinforcement steel is in accordance with BS 4449:2005.

The approval also ensures the reinforcement steel meets a strict set ofcriteria for

reinforcement bars used in reinforcement
